Stop unnecessary meetings: changing practices and corporate culture to make meetings a competitive advantage

Everyone in an organization, from Executives downwards, spends a good part of their time in meetings, whether physical or virtual. They represent key moments for sharing ideas, information and building relationships with others. However, leaders are often torn between the need to schedule meetings and the awareness of having too many meetings, creating an overload at the expense of inclusion, effectiveness and productivity. The so-called meeting overload.

How to understand when too many meetings create overload, both on an organizational and interpersonal level? How to intervene on corporate culture to change the current dynamics and improve effectiveness?

By debating with Steven Rogelberg, organizational psychologist and leadership expert, participants will explore new approaches to meetings, by rethinking their use, in order to avoid overload and improving their effectiveness and productivity.

In details, participants will be able to address the following topics:

  • changing meeting culture through 4 conversations
  • evidence-based meeting leadership best practices
  • broader organizational practices to affect the meeting ecosystem in a positive manner
