In recent years, more and more attention is being paid to gender equality and female empowerment. In the wake of this awareness, in 2021 the G20 hosted the first conference entirely dedicated to the theme of women’s empowerment, to underline the centrality of the discussion also at the international level. However, gender inequalities continue to exist in all countries and, in some cases, have even intensified with the pandemic and the war between Russia and Ukraine. It becomes therefore fundamental to concretize the efforts of institutions and companies in order to arrive at a necessary change for the progress of society, not only cultural but also economic.
 
In order to provide a clear vision of the current situation (at national and international level) and of possible solutions at institutional and corporate level, The European House - Ambrosetti has decided to launch a permanent and independent Observatory on women’s empowerment in the G20 countries - together with A2A, ABB, British American Tobacco (BAT), Invesco, Mondadori Group, Oracle and Pitet Group.
 
In 2022 the results of the first edition of the Observatory were presented and, in this LIVE webinar, Valerio De Molli will discuss the following topics:

• the economic, social and cultural potential of female empowerment
• the status of the main indicators: from Pay Gap, to job participation, up to the percentage of Women in management roles
• suggestions and best practices to put in place at institutional and corporate level.
