AGGIORNAMENTO PERMANENTE
IN PERSON
Facing uncertainty and making better decisions

ICA - Industria Chimica Adriatica Via Maestri del Lavoro, 28 - 62012 CIVITANOVA MARCHE (MC)

The increasing complexity of the phenomena on which we are called to make choices, combined with the current period of great uncertainty, often leads to the attempt to frame and rationalize them. However, individual rationality is limited not only by the uncertainty of the environment, but also by the characteristics of our mind. This dual condition can lead individuals, managers and leaders to make sometimes imperfect decisions from a rational and economic point of view, both of individuals and of organizations.

The strategies of a company, in fact, are often made on the basis of irrational forecasts or estimating, in an unrealistic way, risks and future prospects. At the same time, decision-making processes are often subject to biases and behavioral biases that can compromise overall performance.

During the meeting with Riccardo Viale, behavioral economist and one of the world’s leading cognitive scientists, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on how and which paths follow the decision-making processes and how to change them, to make better and more informed decisions.

In particular, the following topics will be addressed:

  • cognitive psychology and rationality in business
  • decision bias and cognitive bias: how to avoid them to make better decisions
  • behavioural organization: virtuous behaviours to improve performance.
