AGGIORNAMENTO PERMANENTE
IN PERSON
Rethinking the supply chain in a turbulent world

Villa Quaranta Tommasi Wine Hotel & SPA Via Ospedaletto, 57 - 37026 PESCANTINA (VR)

In a world increasingly marked by turbulence and uncertainties, new solutions must be found to adapt to the coming changes.
However, many of the supply chains in use today are extremely rigid, often conceived decades ago, when the focus was not flexibility but efficiency. However, since then, the level of complexity and ambiguity has grown enormously, with relevant implications for the whole business.
In this meeting with Professor Martin Christopher, an international expert on value chains and strategies, the priorities for manufacturing and logistics for the years to come will be explored and discussed.
Starting from the general scenario, the participants will be involved in the discussion, sharing their experiences and discussing with the speaker the most appropriate strategies to manage the specific complexities of the supply chain, as well as cushioning the inevitable turbulence.
The main topics to be discussed will be:

  • the origins and costs of complexity
  • how to manage complexity and turn it into an advantage
  • developing more agile supply chains
  • organizational changes to address the new normal.

Martin Christopher

Emeritus Professor of Marketing & Logistics, Cranfield School of Management
