Italy and the challenge of the demographic crisis: future prospects for a changing country

Demographic changes are often a little-considered factor but will have a significant impact on the country’s future. Italy is an ageing country, every year there are fewer born and fewer workers and it is difficult to think that the current socio-economic system is sustainable if the demographic trajectories remain the same. In addition to the birth rate, there are many other indicators to monitor: immigration and emigration, but also education and health. All crucial to photograph Italy in the coming decades. Only with a clear idea of the future can we seek solutions and rethink our socio-economic system.

What are the main demographic trends in Italy? What will the country be like in 10-20 years? What adjustments can be made, including at company level, to prepare us for the future?

During this webinar, participants will have the opportunity to discuss with the demographer Alessandro Rosina, to learn how our country is changing and understand how companies and society in general can prepare for the future. In particular, this meeting will focus on:

  • demography and future of the country: how to rethink the socio-economic system
  • how can the Italian population resume to "not grow old"
  • Enterprise can contribute to population growth.
