Driven by a greater awareness of the human impact on the environment, many nations, and particularly European ones, have embarked on a path towards greater environmental sustainability. The recent international crises, however, have made this process more difficult, highlighting that, in the short term, there are still no conditions to completely abandon the "security" of fossil fuels. In the medium term, however, the fate of "polluting" sectors is still to be deciphered, but strategic for industrialised countries such as Italy and Germany.

What are the key takeaways of recent crises from which to start again to create a better energy transition strategy?? What challenges do Italy, Europe and industry face in the future? How to get to the "net zero" without compromising vital sectors for the country’s economy?

In this meeting, participants will reflect on the trajectories, risks and opportunities of the energy tradition. A path that still presents many unknowns and on which it is worth reflecting to better understand and face the inevitable changes that will lead not only to industry but to the entire country system.
