 Italy’s challenges inside and outside the peninsula

2022 was a year of recovery for Italy but the conflict in Ukraine has called into question the resilience of our country’s economy, exacerbating social tensions. If, on the one hand, the New Year started with a stable government, on the other, the challenges to be faced are many and concern institutional reforms, rising inflation, the energy crisis, the social cohesion of the country, but also the Italian positioning in Europe and in the conflict in Ukraine. 
What institutional reforms is the government preparing to carry out and what impact will they have on citizens? What role will Italy play in Europe and in the context of the conflict in Ukraine?  How is Italian society changing and how will it change?   
Through the dialogue with Antonio Polito, editorialist of Corriere della Sera, participants will be able to discuss issues related to the current situation and prospects of Italy for 2023 from a political point of view, economic and social, not only national but also international.

During this meeting the following topics will be discussed:

  • institutional reforms: Italy between autonomy, unity and social gaps
  • the country’s economic outlook for 2023
  • Italy in Europe and in the Ukrainian conflict.
