The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has called into question the already precarious balance between the West and the East. The solution of the conflict seems still far away while, in the background, the possible Chinese "reply" with Taiwan is approaching. The autocracies are gaining positions in the new world order at the expense of the West, which seems to be becoming more and more self-absorbed, caught in the grip of ideological guilt.
How will the great international crises evolve? What must the West do to maintain its world leadership? And how can Italy move in an age of constant crisis?
Participants will be able to discuss these and other questions with Federico Rampini, writer and columnist of Corriere della Sera, who, starting from the ideas of his latest books "The long winter: False apocalypse, true crisis, but it will not save the state" (2022) and "Western Suicide" (2022), will reflect not only on current and future crises but also on the longer-term destiny of Italy and the Western bloc.
