Artificial Intelligence and companies. Roadmap for an effective integration of AI in business

Archivio di Stato di Napoli Piazzetta del Grande Archivio, 5 - 80138 NAPOLI

It is now clear that AI represents, today or in the near future, an indispensable tool for companies to remain competitive. However, adapting and integrating it into one's own business is not so obvious. While it is necessary to be clear about what it can and cannot do, it is equally important to know how and where to incorporate it, with particular attention to the unprecedented human-machine relationships that will be created.

What is the potential of AI in business, for the time being and the years to come?  Where to start when designing the automation of a specific production process? How can AI be integrated, without losing judgement and disqualifying the human component?

In this meeting with Federico Cabitza, one of the leading experts in human-computer interaction, an opportunity will be offered to discuss the integration of AI, generative and non-generative, within complex business systems, highlighting its challenges, opportunities and metaphors that leaders can use to foster its acceptance and understanding by people in the enterprise. Concrete cases of using AI to support decision-making in business will also be shared. In particular, the following topics will be addressed:

  • the role AI can play in business: challenges, opportunities and metaphors for understanding it better
  • examples of AI integration to support different business areas
  • automation and work: avoiding de-skilling and automation bias.
