The result of a unique collaboration between Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica and Galleria Borghese, the exhibition “Raffaele, Tiziano, Rubens: i capolavori assoluti. Visita alla mostra di Palazzo Barberini” brings into dialogue, through the intermingling of collections, two crucial figures in seventeenth-century Roman political and cultural life, namely Maffeo Barberini and Scipione Borghese. 
Introducing the exhibition is art historian Anna Orlando, among the most renowned specialists on seventeenth- and eighteenth-century painting.  As an expert on the topic, the curator and historian will share key tips for being able to look at, and thus appreciate to the fullest, some absolute masterpieces of art history, such as Antonello da Messina's Portrait of a Man, Giovanni Bellini's Madonna and Child, Raphael's Portrait of a Young Woman with Unicorn, and also Titian's Sacred Love and Profane Love and Peter Paul Rubens' Susanna and the Old Men. Precious jewels of Italian art history, for the first time placed in the sumptuous 18th-century setting of Palazzo Barberini.
