Failing well: when mistakes drive improvement (and innovation) (with networking cocktail)

(*) Service aimed at executives and middle managers in which AP members can participate.
Royal Hotel Carlton Via Montebello, 8 - 40121 BOLOGNA

Making mistakes is part of the journey of every individual and every organization. Often perceived as a failure or a risk to be avoided, error can instead become a valuable resource in processes of learning, improvement and innovation. Embracing, understanding and transforming mistakes creates the conditions for genuine learning, opening the door to new perspectives, experimentation and stronger resilience, both at a personal level and within organizations.

In this session, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • hear from Roberto Mercadini, who through his distinctive narrative style will guide the audience through stories from science, art and human evolution, showing how many of the greatest breakthroughs, from scientific discoveries to artistic innovations, originated from mistakes, unexpected deviations and failed attempts, offering a fresh perspective on the creative power of imperfection
  • engage with Margherita Brero, who will offer a clear perspective on what really happens when we make mistakes and how errors can shift from experiences that challenge trust and identity to opportunities for responsibility, learning, and growth, both at a personal level and within organizations
  • hear from Roberto Pancaldi, who will share the managerial perspective on how mistakes are experienced within organizations and on the role of leaders in creating environments where people feel able to speak up, take responsibility, and learn from attempts, turning deviations and setbacks into drivers of innovation and improvement.
