Recovery after disaster: practical tools and strategies to guide managers through the "post-crisis" phases in the organizations

When an organization faces a crisis, whether sudden or prolonged, the real challenge is not just managing the emergency, but navigating the aftermath: that complex phase where decisions, behaviors, and leadership shape the future

In this session, Lucy Easthope, one of the world’s leading disaster recovery experts and consultants, will share what years of frontline work in disaster contexts have taught her about managing complexity. Drawing on the real cycles of recovery (shock, the surge of support, the slump, reconstruction), Lucy will explain how to recognize tangible and intangible impacts, avoid forms of “bad help,” and create the conditions for authentic recovery, personal and organizational.

The webinar will offer leaders practical tools: how to restore agency to teams, confront uncertainty without denying it, and transform the aftermath into a phase of learning and purposeful rebuilding.
