The visit to the La Spezia Naval Base, home to the 1st and 5th Naval Divisions, will offer participants a unique opportunity to observe first-hand how organizations of the highest operational complexity work, where strategy, technology and the human factor must integrate continuously. During the morning it will be possible to board the Virginio Fasan, an Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) frigate of the Bergamini Class, with the opportunity to engage directly with the crews and share a networking lunch on board. There will be occasion to exchange views with the ship's Commanding Officer and other crew members.

In the afternoon the group will transfer to the Luni Air Base, where the operational capabilities and strategic role of the base will be presented. The visit will conclude with the observation of NH-90 helicopters and, subject to operational availability and weather conditions, the possibility of witnessing live flight operations, offering a concrete insight into decision-making and operational processes in high-intensity contexts.

During the session, participants will explore:

• the role of multi-mission naval units in the management of security, deterrence and operations;
• the coordination, training and leadership models required to ensure operational effectiveness in critical scenarios;
