The visit to the Naval Base of La Spezia, home to the 1st and 5th Naval Divisions, will offer participants a unique opportunity to observe at close hand how organizations of extremely high operational complexity function, where strategy, technology, and the human factor must be continuously integrated. During the morning, participants will board the Spartaco Schergat, an Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) frigate of the Bergamini class, with the opportunity to engage directly with the crew and share a networking lunch on board. There will also be occasion to exchange views with the ship's Commander and other members of the crew.

In the afternoon, the group will transfer to the Luni Air Base, where a dedicated briefing will illustrate the base's operational capabilities and strategic role. The visit will conclude with the observation of NH-90 helicopters and, subject to operational availability and weather conditions, the possibility of witnessing live flight operations, offering a concrete view of decision-making and operational processes in high-intensity environments.

During this session, participants will explore:

• how complex organizations operate in high-responsibility contexts by integrating strategy, technology, and people;
• the role of multi-mission naval units in security management, deterrence, and operational missions;
• the coordination, training, and leadership models required to ensure operational effectiveness in critical scenarios;
• the importance of rapid decision-making and continuous adaptation, through live observation of air and naval activities and flight operations.
