In this session, Daniele Agiman, orchestra conductor and professor of orchestral conducting at the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory in Milan, will show participants the essential features of a conductor's craft, drawing from them a leadership model that is immediately transferable to business. A conductor does not produce a single sound: the result depends entirely on the ability to bring out the best in each musician's talent and to hold their individualities together within a single shared project. It is the same challenge faced by anyone leading an organisation made up of diverse skills, where value arises from coordination, listening and trust, and not from command alone.

Through concrete examples, the talk will focus on the levers of a conductor's leadership: listening as the first competence, managing time and the unexpected, developing talent in the service of the collective result, and the role of gesture and silence in leading without overpowering.
