In this meeting, participants will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with the adoption of Generative and Agentic AI, with the aim of moving beyond technological hype and developing a more informed and selective approach to long-term strategic choices.

Thanks to the contribution of Oguz Acar, Professor of Marketing and Innovation at King’s Business School and an expert in Artificial Intelligence and innovation, participants will explore, through concrete cases and practical examples, why many seemingly promising Artificial Intelligence initiatives can fail in practice. The discussion will cover the new challenges arising from the transition from Generative to Agentic AI, as well as the human dimension of adoption and the reactions of employees and customers, which are key factors in the success of transformation.

The meeting will also provide a practical approach to identifying where to focus priorities, how quickly to proceed and how to experiment selectively, balancing opportunities and risks.

In particular, participants will explore:

• why some “AI-first” approaches fail: understanding the main causes of failure in Artificial Intelligence initiatives and how they evolve with the transition from Generative to Agentic AI
• the human dimension of Artificial Intelligence adoption: analysing employee and customer reactions, from consumer resistance and shadow AI to the impact on skills and motivation
• from adoption to strategy: moving from an indiscriminate approach to selective and prioritised experimentation, identifying where to focus, how quickly to proceed and how to balance opportunities and risks towards a solid and sustainable adoption strategy.
