In this meeting, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Amazon distribution centre in Jesi (Ancona), opened in July 2026 – the company's first site in the Marche region and its ninth in Italy. The visit offers a chance to observe first-hand how Amazon organises its logistics network today and the role new technologies play within it.

The centre integrates automation and robotics systems into warehouse flows, with the aim of reducing handling times, improving safety and increasing productivity. The model is based on interaction between operators, algorithms and robots, with people remaining involved in decision-making and operational management.

During the visit, participants will tour the centre's main operational areas, observing how technology, automation and human work are coordinated across processes. There will be an opportunity to meet the managers in charge of the centre, who will outline its organisational, robotics and safety structure, as well as the strategic choices underpinning Amazon's logistics model.
