Donald Trump’s America represents not merely a political departure from the past, but the expression of deeper transformations affecting society, institutions and the United States’ role on the international stage. Growing domestic polarization and the crisis of traditional governance mechanisms are helping to reshape the relationship between Washington, its allies and the rest of the world.

Businesses and organizations are operating in an international environment increasingly characterized by instability, shifting balances of power and the gradual fragmentation of the global order. Understanding the nature of these changes is no longer simply an analytical exercise; it is becoming increasingly essential to guiding strategic decisions, investments and growth strategies.

During the dinner, participants will have the opportunity to engage with Mario Del Pero, a historian of international relations and one of the leading scholars of contemporary American politics, to explore the profound changes currently unfolding in the United States and their implications for the future of transatlantic relations, Europe and the economic environment in which businesses and organizations operate.

In particular, participants will explore:

• how the profound transformation of American society and politics is reshaping the United States’ role on the international stage
• the potential implications of the crisis of the current global order for US – European relations and Italy’s strategic positioning
• the implications of emerging international power dynamics for Europe, Italy and the business community.
