Between the United States and China, where can Italy compete? The new geography of industrial and technological power (with networking lunch)

CONFINDUSTRIA BARI E BAT Via Amendola, 172/5 - 70126 BARI

Competition between the United States and China is reshaping the global economic and industrial landscape. Artificial intelligence, strategic technologies, manufacturing capacity, energy and control over supply chains are increasingly becoming instruments of economic power, transforming the conditions under which Italian companies must compete.

During this meeting, participants will explore the role Italy can play in this new environment: where its industrial system risks losing ground, which dependencies could become more critical and, above all, which areas of specialization, capabilities and competitive advantages can provide new opportunities for growth.

Through the analysis of Federico Fubini, Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Columnist at Corriere della Sera, the meeting will offer an interpretation of the ongoing transformations, connecting major international developments with their concrete implications for the Italian economy and businesses.

In particular, participants will explore:

  • how competition between the United States and China for technological supremacy, industrial capacity and strategic resources is reshaping global economic balances
  • which new vulnerabilities and dependencies are emerging for Europe and Italy
  • where the Italian industrial system can still build competitive advantages, turning the new global landscape into opportunities for growth and strategic positioning.
