The challenge of food security is more relevant than ever. The increase in inflation and the scarcity of some raw materials expose the most vulnerable countries, with high population growth, to the risk of famine. But also for Western countries food security is a major issue that translates into the importance of ensuring access to quality food to meet the needs of consumers more and more attentive to the origin of products. At the same time, the agri-food supply chain is among the most threatened by climate change and is called to evolve to become a protagonist in the processes of sustainable transition and innovation.
 
In this context of major transformation, what economic scenarios are emerging for the agrifood markets? How are consumers' expectations of food sustainability changing? And what are the prospects for Italian agri-food companies?
 
In this meeting the participants will discuss with Stefano Boccaletti, Professor of Agrifood Economics and Director of the Master in Agri-Food Management at the Catholic University, and with Pier Maria Saccani, Director of the Consorzio Tutela Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO, which will discuss the scenarios for the agrifood sector both at international and Italian level.
