The human challenge of AI: introducing it successfully in different companies and contexts without neglecting the human factor

Baker Hughes Florence Learning Center Via Perfetti Ricasoli, 78 - 50127 FIRENZE

The application of Artificial Intelligence cannot be considered only from an economic point of view, as it also requires taking into account the relationship of the technology to the sociocultural context and identity of those who will benefit from it.

Before designing practical applications for AI, and with the aim of predicting its effectiveness, it is crucial to understand its place within a social and human framework.

Are there cultural differences in the adoption of AI? What can be learned from the experience of cities like Dubai and Singapore in terms of applying AI in different contexts? How is AI changing the way companies work and how can its adoption be made easier?

This meeting will provide an opportunity to reflect on the implementation of AI (generative and non-generative), analyzing both its flexibility and ability to adapt to different contexts, and the changes it causes and requires of companies seeking to grasp its potential. With Barbara Carfagna, an expert on the implications of the digital revolution in different realities and cultures, AI will be approached with a sociocultural gaze, starting from success stories occurred all over the world: upon them, insights can be taken for an application dropped into local realities. With Stefano Puntoni, an expert on worker-machine integration, we will investigate the barriers inside and outside companies with respect to AI and what are the consequences of its introduction on the human business environment.

In particular, the following topics will be addressed:

  • AI applications around the world: from Brazil to Singapore, what is helpful to know for the Italian ecosystem
  • from cities to the enterprise: what AI can really do. Examples from around the world
  • creating the foundation for successful AI implementation: the working method for proper human-computer interaction.
