Innovating in an era of crisis: riding the wave of change through technology

Villa Quaranta Tommasi Wine Hotel & SPA Via Ospedaletto, 57 - 37026 PESCANTINA (VR)

In a global context marked by economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and rapid technological advancements, companies face a critical challenge: innovating to stay competitive. However, many organizations unintentionally hinder innovation, fearing it might disrupt established business models.
This event offers participants the opportunity to rediscover innovation as a strategic asset, by identifying the barriers that prevent businesses from leveraging it and discussing how to overcome them. The conversation will feature Ken Singer, Managing Director of the Sutardja Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology at UC Berkeley, who will provide insights into the impact of emerging technologies—particularly Artificial Intelligence—and their transformative potential across key sectors.

In particular, the session will delve into:

  • barriers to innovation: why companies resist change and how to eliminate these obstacles
  • emerging technologies and AI: opportunities and risks for business
  • the future of work: impacts on corporate policies and the skills required for digital transformation
  • how geopolitics and global crises are influencing corporate supply chain management.
