In a context of constant change and growing complexity, innovation no longer emerges solely from within the company. Instead, it takes shape through connections and ideas coming from outside the organization. The most impactful innovations often emerge at the edges of established systems, from unconventional perspectives that, when recognized, can become powerful levers for change.
For organizations, the challenge is twofold: on the one hand, being able to identify and absorb insights, practices, and ideas emerging beyond the company’s boundaries; on the other, creating the conditions for internal insights to surface, circulate, and gain traction. In this process, social networks, relationships, and organizational contexts play a decisive role in enabling—or hindering—creativity.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• engage with Simone Ferriani, who will guide a reflection on how to rethink organizations as open systems, capable of enabling innovation through connections, networks, and social dynamics. Drawing on research evidence and real-world cases, he will offer frameworks and practical lenses to understand how ideas are generated, developed, and gain momentum—and how managers can create organizational contexts that allow change to emerge and be sustained.
