During the dinner, participants will have the opportunity to engage with Marco Grazioli, Presidenr of The European House – Ambrosetti, on how to navigate change in contexts marked by increasing discontinuity, where established models rapidly lose effectiveness and organizations are required to rethink structures, leadership, and people management.

Today, change no longer presents itself as a gradual, predictable process, but rather as a dynamic that is often sudden and destabilizing, challenging existing structures and requiring the ability to act, adapt, and take risks. In this context, organizations tend to oscillate between urgency and inertia. The session will offer an opportunity to reflect on how to update organizational approaches and models, exploring how leading decision-makers are turning change from a crisis response into a strategic lever for resilience.

During the session, participants will explore:

  • how to navigate change in discontinuous environments, moving beyond the “burning platform” mindset and developing a more deliberate and proactive approach to urgency
  • organizations’ ability to adapt and transform over time, drawing on the “hermit crab” metaphor to understand the risks and opportunities associated with leaving behind established models
  • the limits of excessive reliance on the past and the importance of developing new interpretative frameworks to navigate unprecedented scenarios.
