The role of leaders and corporate culture for developing creativity and new ideas

The worst obstacle to creativity is the myth that being creative is someone else's job.
Having teams and processes devoted to creativity and innovation is therefore not enough if you want to tap into the whole potential of creativity and innovation of your organization.
In order for a company not to remain paralyzed in the face of current threats, and be able to meet and beat customers’ heightened expectations or deliver game-changing innovation, leaders must develop creativity and new ideas in all strategic activities and nurture a culture in which their people can be their creative best.
Like all skills, mastery of creative thinking requires practice and an encouragement to experiment, fail and persevere.
But what does it take to think and create differently?
With his conviction that creativity exists in all of us, Richard Hytner will highlight:

  • the key factors of creativity: expertise, thinking skills, intrinsic motivation
  • what, routinely, kills creativity
  • the key qualities we need to think and create differently.
