Hyper-Learning: the human role in the era of digital acceleration

In this period of high digital acceleration, artificial intelligence is taking the place of many human activities within companies. But how will it be possible to keep people's work essential? And which will be the key roles and skills?
In his last book Hyper-Learning: How to Adapt to the Speed of Change, Professor Edward Hess suggests that the value of people’s activities will be in what technology cannot yet do: cognitions, emotions, human relationships. At the same time, however, this rapid technological development requires us to become Hyper-Learners, meaning to be capable of learning, unlearning, and relearning depending on the speed of change.
In this meeting, the author will share some ideas on how to better address these changes and implement hyper-learning in the workplace; in particular, the following topics will be addressed:

  • adopting a new fast and flexible learning mentality
  • humanizing the workplace: optimizing learning skills and giving value to the role of people
  • using emotions and empathy to improve decisions, both personally and professionally
  • finding the right balance between human and machine.
